DeepL, a leading Language AI company, has announced the expansion of its platform with the addition of Vietnamese, Hebrew, and early access to Thai, now available on DeepL Translator and the DeepL API, according to a press release published by the company.

The update brings DeepL’s total supported languages to 36, strengthening its position in the enterprise translation space and empowering global businesses to operate more effectively across linguistic boundaries. In addition, Arabic and Traditional Chinese are now supported for document translation, enhancing the platform’s compatibility for multilingual workflows.

Key Highlights:

  • New Language Support: Vietnamese, Hebrew, and Thai (API only) added to DeepL Translator and DeepL API. Thai will soon roll out across web and app platforms.

  • Expanded Document Translation: Arabic and Traditional Chinese now supported in document translation with formatting preservation.

  • Next-Gen LLM Integration: All supported languages now benefit from DeepL’s next-generation large language model (LLM) for greater precision and consistency.

Executive Commentary:“This update directly responds to customer demand and expands how businesses—especially in manufacturing and cross-border operations—communicate globally,” said David Parry-Jones, CRO at DeepL.

Jarek Kutylowski, CEO and Founder, emphasized, “With every new language we add, we build a bridge between people and markets, expanding businesses' reach and accelerating their ability to compete globally.”

With more than 200,000 business customers across 228 global markets, DeepL is backed by Benchmark, IVP, and Index Ventures. TheMarketAI.com Take: Instant translation and AI-powered document conversion stand out as some of AI’s most impressive achievements. We recently experienced their real-world value during a visit to Japan.

As AI continues to bridge linguistic divides, it’s unlocking access to information and opportunities that were once out of reach. One lingering question: could widespread adoption of these tools eventually reduce the incentive to learn English as a second language?
